Recovery is Revolutionary.
Reframe narratives around substance use struggles and recovery through a trauma-informed, anti-oppression lens and decolonized approach.
Our aim: to support the accessibility of living into recovery as a revolutionary practice for individual and collective liberation.
Answering the Call of the Ancestors book crowdfunding campaign
Answering the Call of the Ancestors: A recovery guide in times of reckoning and revolution is a book based on my lived experience as a queer, trans, non-binary, neurospicy, two spirit, Afro-Taino human recovering from intergenerational substance use, codependency, people pleasing, and perfectionism. This book is meant to support those who want to shed the ways the histories of colonization, imperialism and systems of oppression inform how we relate to ourselves, to each other, the divine, and to our planet.
With this campaign, I’m inviting you to be in process with me as I write this book and help me to birth it into the world with your support.
We have it within us to answer the call of our ancestors to dismantle these systems and dream into being freedom beyond what they imagined for us.

Support the work
If you see how racial capitalism, white supremacy, patriarchy, and ableism have perpetuated wealth inequality and have vested interest in upholding substance use struggles and preventing widespread access to recovery that centers dismantling systemic oppression. I invite you to consider contributing on a monthly basis for at least the next 6 months. This can also be a form of radical redistribution, as struggles with substance use is linked with colonization, racial capitalism, ableism, white supremacy, and patriarchy. As our economic system is inherently founded upon the dehumanization of Black, Indigenous, people of color as justification for slavery, land stealing, and exploitation, and the legacy of that manifests in substance use struggles.

Writings
A resource and reflection on the work.
The Revolution resides in our relationships.
Through our restored connections with other beings, we can heal the separation we feel from ourselves, from each other, from the planet, from the divine.
By being in community, we can expand our capacity to heal.
